woops, it’s been a while since i put up a sound bite, so here is the second installment direct from the new york subway. while i was waiting on the platform, a busker to my left started playing his guitar. people walked by him, some dropped a coin or two in his case, but nobody seemed to listen to his music. he stopped after two minutes or so, ending on three decisive strums – gathering all his belongings, he then left for a better place.

note: two parts of this sound bite are quite loud… so you might want to turn down the volume, just in case.

we’re almost nearing the end of october and that means halloween is just around the corner! it’s also a perfect excuse for a theme to this month’s mixtape. basically, i scrolled down my playlist and randomly picked ten songs with names that fit the occasion… so while the music may not be thematically coherent, at least their titles will be. i guess it’s a good way to diversify your musical vocabulary – there’s a bit of everything here, from math rock to hip hop to shoegaze… so click the album cover to download and enjoy!

I’m loving these three specific looks from Stephan Schneider‘s A/W 2008 collection. Maybe it’s because the individual pieces look like similar items found in my current wardrobe, albeit more clean-cut and tailored. And probably much more expensive.
