it’s rather warm outside but it’s also raining like there’s no tomorrow, so i decided to enjoy my day indoors while working on my buñuel paper, making french toast, reading milan kundera’s slowness, drinking green tea, listening to raphael saadiq, and looking through kostas murkudis‘ wonderful ss 09 lookbook.
i’m really digging the sheer, flowing materials which serve to soften the geometric folds… and who would’ve thought that trains made of crinkled paper would look so good! of course, knowing me, i included the menswear collection as well. i think grey, white and some shade of light green will be my colour palette for spring. and how about those gradient pants/jeans? so lovely. if i have time in the summer i’m gonna try and make myself a pair, although i’m not quite sure how to do so. bleach? rit dye? i only want to dye the ends, so i wouldn’t want to sabotage the entire pair of jeans if anything goes wrong, haha.
update: la maison is available in full on vimeo – huzzah! quick, go catch it before it’s taken down on there as well!!

I am pretty sure I’ve never heard of Kostas Murkundis before, but I LOVE what he does. Everything looks like Haute Couture…
