needless to say, andrew bird was mindblowingly fantastic live. he has such a commanding hold of his musical style… and wow, does he ever have his way with words! my favourite song of the night was “why?” (that or his attempt at translating kermit the frog’s “it’s not easy being green” into french) it’s as if he is conversing directly with you when he half sings/half narrates it. so good, so good. i am beyond inspired. damn you for being so easygoing… and i mean that with all the love in the world, mr. bird!
it’s going to be crazy hectic in the next few weeks with the onslaught of papers and finals, so i shall leave you all with one of my better photos from the concert and a wonderful tune to go with it (listen to the whole thing, you will not be disappointed). i will be updating ten minutes and twitter though, so you can check in on me there when bored. until then, take care!
