friday night marked the last official dan, liann and joanne dining experience in montreal, as i will not be here next year and dan will have graduated by the time i come back. dressed in “semi-formal”, we headed to weinstein & gavinos for an italian dinner (it’s only fitting). liann and i ordered our usual risottos (and the glass or so of wine), while dan had calamari and ravioli (plus the rest of the bottle of wine). we then ordered a gigantic tiramisu to share – in accordance with our florentine traditions – when liann took out a bag of swedish berries (where i’ll be next year) and stracciatella lindt chocolates (my favourite flavour of gelato when we were in italy) to give to me! definitely two of the best going away presents i’ve ever received, knowing my love for cheesy gestures… and naturally, i had to take pictures of it all, hence their “oh god, here she goes again with her camera” looks in that last photo (they’ve grown used to it so i had to ask them to pose like that for me).
