i didn’t take many photos this time around because i really wanted to take in the city – unfortunately i didn’t go to as many places as i had hoped (can you ever be satisfied, though, in a city like new york?) but i did manage to meet up with the lovely natsumi this past sunday! we went to a japanese dessert bar and talked for a few hours about ourselves, what we do, our interests and our future plans (for me – the lack thereof). she even gave me a gift – the most adorable placemats i’ll ever lay my hands on! thanks again for everything, natsumi :)
immediately afterwards, i met up with my high school music teacher from vancouver for dinner and we talked another four hours or so over duck confit and dessert, courtesy of the hotel (long story short, they gave us a gift certificate for service that was not up to par). all in all, sunday was so much fun and definitely the highlight of my entire trip, and i’m so glad to have spent time meeting with both old friends and new ones alike!
it sounds like a perfect trip! i love the photographs that you have shared – especially the food. i am salivating a little bit :)
p.s yes, i am feeling much better – first semester is almost over, thankfully.
