wow, the past few days have been a whirlwind, to say the least. first there was my sister’s convocation on a soggy, miserably cold montreal afternoon (yaaaaay!), and on the same day was the one year anniversary of my blog (yaaaaay! but i did not have time to celebrate unfortunately), and in the midst of all that i was packing, packing, disassembling furniture, moving furniture, packing, more packing, and now i’m back in vancouver – where the weather is absolutely glorious and the surroundings forever constant.

as for montreal… well, i will be going back to finish my senior year as an undergrad, but this time around it seemed like an official goodbye on several fronts – many of my favourite people are graduating next year, or have graduated this year (like my sister! studying there won’t be the same without my fantastic roomie). moreover, i left montreal this time having finished my major, with two years of study behind me, a year of study abroad ahead of me, so the next time i’m back i will only have graduation to look forward to. i guess i’ve said my farewells prematurely, but it feels like the time to do so.

the craziness has not ceased just yet, though – in a few days i will be flying down to california to attend my cousin’s wedding! i’m very much looking forward to seeing her and her family again, as i have not seen them in a ridiculously long time. this will also be the first time that i am attending a wedding as an adult, so all the more reason for me to be excited!

if you haven’t noticed already, this post also includes the mixtape for may. no particular theme this time around, just a bunch of songs that have prepared me well for the summer weather. i also threw in a bill callahan (smog) song just because he has stolen my heart and become my favourite musician as of mid-may.
