i’ve been following masataka ohta‘s work for a while now. his textile designs are incredible, as is his lyrical sensibility towards fashion. choosing bach’s cello suite as musical accompaniment for his site only enhances my appreciation of his work even more…

and after a bit of a hiatus, the latest ten minutes is up!

this to me is a strangely effective combination of windows 95 screensaver effects, 80s educational video ambience, horror movie elements, and that snake game on nokia cell phones of yore.

i watched le samouraï yesterday (highly recommended) featuring alain delon as jeff costello, the professional hitman who never thinks of ridding his hat and trench coat so as to not be recognized by onlookers. i’m not complaining though cause delon wears it terribly well…

i’ll also be heading to the vancouver folk festival tomorrow to catch the likes of iron & wine, the weakerthans, joe pug and arrested development. music on the beach, under the vancouver sunset, on a warm summer evening? sounds great to me! hope your weekend is just as spendid!!
